Evolution of the performance of European junior medalists from the years 2000-2008 in swimming

Title: Evolution of the performance of European junior medalists from the years 2000-2008 in swimming. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to find out if the swimmer who won a medal at the European Junior Championship in the period 2000-2008, continue swimming career for the next five years. The period of five years was set to get adulthood of competitors and unification length exploration of all competitors. Methods: For obtain the informations we have chosen the method of study documents - scorecards. Because of theme of thesis was the collection of data taken from European Junior scorecards in the years 2000-2008, the European Championships at the SC in the years 2001- 2013, from the Olympic Games in 2004, 2008, 2012. Results: Outcomes of our research showed that the more than half of competitors that have succeeded at the European Junior Championships in 2000-2008 failed to qualify for any additional European Championships in a SC. At the final evaluation of the collected informations, we found that only less than one fifth of the competitors were able to qualify at the European championships in 2000-2008. Based on our research, we can deduce that most of the medalists from MEJ don't continue in their swimming careers in adulthood. Keywords: swimming career, high performance, swimming...
Training of young swimmers

Title: Training of young swimmers Objectives: To find out and evaluate the level of training of young swimmers in Bohemia from point of view coach's securing and organization and content of swimming training and dryland training. To compare these results with training of young swimmers recommended in reference books. Methods: The method used in this thesis is questionnaire construction followed by processing and assessment, mostly through tables and charts. Questionnaires were filled in by people who provided training of young swimmers in swimming clubs in Bohemia. Results: We have found out, that coaches of young swimmers mostly have no necessary education in this branch. Most of them had their own swimming career and in the majority of swimming clubs recruitment is under way rather than selection process by in advance determined criterions. The coaches are satisfied with area for training. The content of training and using of aids are comparable with recommendation in reference books. The number of trainings per week rises up gradually. Dryland training is integrated into training plan mostly in third year of training of young swimmers. Swimming career of top swimmers in the pupil and junior categories

Title: Swimming career of top swimmers in the pupil and junior categories Objectives: The aim of my bachelor thesis is to compare the swimming career development of pupil and junior swimming categories at the selection of the senior national team for 2019/2020. Methods: The data were obtained by examining of documents of written and electronic statistics, as well as by calculating of FINA point calculator and the formula itself for their creation. The data were presented using descriptive statistics, tables and graphical representation. Results: It is possible to confirm by the result of thesis, that the most of swimmers trained in accordance with long-term development pattern. Female performance in pupil and junior categories are evaluated according to FINA points of higher quality than male one. Male performance development in pupil and junior categories is found out as smoother and more fluent in a long as well as short swimming pool. Age profile of swimmers at European and world competitions in 2012-2016

Title: Age profile of swimmers at top competitions in 2012-2016 Target: The goal of the bachelor thesis is to find out the age profile of swimmers at the top world competitions in 2012-2016 in individual disciplines swimming in breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly stroke and positioning in the category of men and women at the level of finishes and finals. Methods: The data was obtained from electronic official sources. The method of data collection was the study of documents (start-up protocols). The data obtained was then recorded, sorted and evaluated by a computer program using descriptive statistics. In the result section, summarized results were presented using tables and graphs. Results: Swimmers had an average age of 22 years, with an average age of 21 years in case of women. In the final races of men, the age of the top performance was 24 years, in women the peak age was at 22 years. There was no significant difference in the average age of swimmers between disciplines. The demonstrable differences in the age of the individual disciplines were reflected in the finals. The highest average age was shown by the finalists in the discipline of 50 m butterfly stroke, 50 m finalist finalists, the lowest average age on the other hand, the 200 m finalists and the finalists in the 100 m discipline....
